CDS: Opponents to Surrender or Face Complete Removal

by Adenike Adeodun

During a robust speech at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC) in Jaji, Kaduna State, Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa, issued a clear directive. The military will pursue and neutralize all adversaries.

According to a report by Vanguard, he delivered this stance while briefing Senior Course 46 of the AFCSC. His paper, “Nigeria’s Security and Defence Policies: My Leadership Concept for the Armed Forces of Nigeria,” served as the backdrop. He warned criminal skeptics about underestimating the military’s strength, asserting they would not survive their folly.

Vanguard also highlighted Gen. Musa’s discussion on banditry in the Northwest. He assured that the military’s strategy would soon uproot this threat. His message was stark: enemies must surrender or face relentless pursuit.

The CDS’s strategy revolves around the people. He seeks a united front within the Armed Forces against Nigeria’s security challenges. Yet, he balances this toughness with a commitment to human rights.

“Our mission hinges on the people’s trust,” Gen. Musa stated, advocating unity across all security branches for success. He insisted on joint operations, stressing everyone’s critical role, from civilians to security personnel.

In his conclusion, Gen. Musa envisaged a peaceful Nigeria, urging support and prayers from all patriots. He emphasized the collective effort needed in the Armed Forces’ mission.

“We aim for a united Nigeria,” Gen. Musa affirmed, calling for national support and feedback in these challenging times. This dedication from Nigeria’s Armed Forces stands as a beacon of hope for a safer future.
