X-agon Digital Solutions Pioneers African E-Commerce Expansion with AnyworkX App

by Oluwatosin Alabi

In a strategic move, X-agon Digital Solutions Limited, a Nigerian tech company, has ventured into the thriving African e-commerce market. With the market’s revenue projected to reach a remarkable $40.80 billion by year’s end, X-agon is positioning itself as a key player. The company launched AnyworkX, an innovative e-service ordering app, over the weekend. This app serves as a platform connecting verified service providers with customers, marking a significant step in digital commerce.

Bolaji Abdullahi Bayo Tijani, X-agon’s Executive Director of Product and Strategy, highlighted the app’s potential at a Lagos media briefing. He underscored the vastness of the e-service market and revealed plans to expand AnyworkX to five African countries by Q1 of 2024. Tijani emphasized that AnyworkX is designed to forge a larger, borderless marketplace. This expansion aims to boost service providers’ revenue opportunities.

Addressing the global rise in living costs, Tijani noted the importance of reducing idle time for economic productivity. He stressed the need for quick, convenient services, especially during emergencies. Tijani further clarified that AnyworkX focuses solely on services, not commodities. The app boasts over 200 service categories. These range from dog training and marriage counseling to medical and legal services.

Regarding safety and security, Tijani assured that X-agon has implemented robust verification processes. These measures are in place to prevent identity fraud and enhance user security. Service providers on AnyworkX undergo rigorous verification before their profiles become accessible to users. This system ensures that only qualified professionals offer services on the platform.

This initiative by X-agon Digital Solutions Limited marks a pivotal advancement in African e-commerce. It not only demonstrates the company’s innovative approach but also contributes significantly to the growing digital economy of the continent.
