FieldReady and Mozambican businessman Salimo Abdula have signed a memorandum of understanding to train and help 15,000 young people all around the country.

The Salimo Abdula Foundation announced the cooperation, which aims to give trainees business skills and connect them with real business possibilities.

Abdula, who started Intelec Holdings and is on the board of Vodacom Mozambique, called the program an investment in the country’s future workers. It also combines training, mentoring, and seed money for promising businesses.

Furthermore, the deal builds on the Elevate Program, which helps young people go from looking for work to creating jobs. A new digital platform will provide training across the country, and while entrepreneurial competitions will connect youth projects with investors, businesses, and incubators.

The best five initiatives will get seed money to start their own firms, and also the best entrepreneurs will get help and advice. Abdula said that giving young people skills and access to money will help them get jobs in Mozambique’s challenging job market.
