itel Debuts S23+ Smartphone in Nigeria, Collaborating with Google and MTN

Leading telecommunications accessory manufacturer, itel, introduced its latest model, the itel S23+, at a vibrant launch event in Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. The device stands as a testament to itel’s mission to enhance the digital experiences of Nigerian users.

The event drew both everyday consumers and itel phone retailers from across Nigeria, signifying the brand’s widespread appeal. In a pivotal partnership development, telecommunications behemoth MTN confirmed that it would roll out exclusive data bundles specifically tailored for itel S23+ users. On top of this, itel announced its collaboration with Google, ensuring that every itel S23+ comes equipped with essential Google apps, offering users improved connectivity and efficiency right out of the box.

Oke Umurhohwo, Marketing Manager for itel Mobile (West Africa 1), spoke passionately about the brand’s vision. “At itel, we are deeply committed to bridging the digital divide. Our goal has consistently been to make innovative technology both accessible and affordable to everyone. The launch of the itel S23+ in Nigeria is a significant stride in that direction,” he remarked.

Describing the ethos behind the brand, Umurhohwo identified itel as the “go-to smart life brand for all.” He shed light on itel’s guiding philosophy, “Enjoy Better Life”, underscoring the brand’s dedication to offering cost-effective consumer electronic and lifestyle products to the masses. Representing Transsion Holdings, the umbrella company behind both itel and Infinix Mobile brands, Chide Okonkwo shared insights on the new offering. “The inception of this product is rooted deeply in the feedback we’ve gathered from our valued Nigerian customers and global patrons alike. We are committed to offering the Nigerian market an unparalleled smartphone experience with the itel S23+,” he affirmed.
