Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State celebrated the legacy of Dr. Olusegun Agagu. He emphasized Agagu’s impact on the state’s governance. The occasion took place in Akure. It marked the 10th remembrance and colloquium of the late Dr. Agagu. Olayato Aribo, the Commissioner for Agriculture, represented Governor Akeredolu. He praised Agagu for championing transparency, accountability, and anti-corruption.

Akeredolu spoke about Agagu’s contributions to education. He established the State University of Science and Technology in Okitipupa. Agagu also prioritized infrastructure, health, and agriculture. He developed rural roads and established health centers in every political ward.

The colloquium’s theme was “Good Governance: A Review of Dr. Olusegun Kokumo Agagu’s Vision in Ondo State”. Olabimtan said the event celebrated Agagu’s lasting impact. He also highlighted Agagu’s governance principles in today’s Nigerian politics.
Chief Segun Oni, former governor of Ekiti state, praised Agagu. He saw Agagu as a beacon of service. Ambassador Omolade Oluwateru, Agagu’s former deputy, spoke about his inclusive leadership.
Dr. Agagu’s son, Feyi, thanked everyone for their love and remembrance. He found this 10th-year ceremony especially touching.
